On November 10th, 2021, Deloitte, Cisco and Amazon Web Services (AWS) co-organised the event “Cyber Security in Digital Transformation Era” with the participation of high-profile representatives from the three companies, the Hellenic Ministry of Digital Governance, the Municipality of Thessaloniki, and the U.S. Consul General in Thessaloniki. The event was held physically at the Cisco Digital Transformation & Digital Skills (DT&S) in Thessaloniki, Greece, in line with all the necessary health protection measures to ensure the safety of the attendees.
The theme of the event concerned the current cyber challenges and trends, as well as the development of comprehensive cybersecurity methods and practices for achieving a successful digital transition, especially in the highly vulnerable public sector. Prof. Christos Xenakis from the University of Piraeus was among the speakers, presenting the cybersecurity challenges that have emerged in the healthcare sector after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. In his presentation “Public sector security concerns: eHealth use case”, Prof. Xenakis introduced CUREX to the audience as a comprehensive cybersecurity risk management solution specifically designed for healthcare organisations with the purpose to reinforce the security and privacy levels of their underlying IT infrastructures.
